2019 Ford Escape Safety Chain Connection for Tow Dolly

Question:

If I want to tow my Ford Escape on a tow dolly behind my motorhome, where would I attach the safety chain? The under carriage is fully covered and the dealer says that there is no spot for a recovery hook like earlier models.

What I think you are asking is about connecting a safety chain from the Ford Escape to the Roadmaster Tow Dolly, # RM-2050-1, in addition to the wheel straps (see attached image). If so, but underside of Escape doesn't permit then modifications will be needed. If I misunderstand and you are actually talking about connecting safety chains of the Tow Dolly to the Tow Vehicle, then you make those connections at the hitch receiver by feeding the S-hook through the loop and bringing back on itself to take up slack, then placing the S-hook securely to a chain link. If the S-hook can not fit through the loop on the tow vehicles hitch then use twist method to take up the slack.
