How Do You Adjust The Braking Power Of The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite RED44FR?
Updated 03/26/2021 | Published 03/24/2021 >
Question:
How do I adjust the braking level/gain on the Redarc Tow-Pro brake controller in the proportional mode? For example, Im towing a 4,000 lbs. trailer with a Toyota Tacoma 6-cyl with tow package and 1,200 towing capacity. The instruction manual was silent on this except no braking on zero setting for both modes.

To adjust the braking power of the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR in your 2021 Toyota Tacoma you will just need to turn the knob between 0 and 10.
To find the correct braking power setting for your trailer I recommend going to a parking lot and applying the brake pedal. If the tires on the trailer did not lock up increase the braking power until the tires lock up, and then back it down slightly until you are not locking the brakes up but are getting the maximum trailer brake power.
I included a video review of the # RED44FR for you to take a look at.
