Question:
Hi, I have a karavan tandem axle boat trailer model FHT-2141 GL it has hydraulic brakes on the front axles. The brake drum is a Dexter 8-247 10inch drum and the drum also states Max before drum diameter 10.09 . The shoes are 2 1/4inches, and the bearings are L44649. I have some questions. 1. will your part #40715 fit? 2. will your part #18787 fit? 3. what are the size of the shoes on both? 4. which would you recommend? I dont care about braking when backing up. In fact, Id rather it not brake when I back up since I have to back up the trailer up an incline. 5. Where and how soon would these ship from if I go with either one and standard shipping. I live in zip code 07045 Thanks in advance. I will order with you as soon as I get your feedback. You have a great website! alan./.

If the bolt pattern on your axles, for the backing plate, is 2-3/4 inch on center , both of these braking assemblies would fit your 10 inch x 2-1/4 inch trailer brake assemblies.
Part # 40715 and # 40716 are what I would recommend. These are the left and right hand side brake assemblies. Since you are going to be backing up an incline you want the least amount of reverse braking which is why I recommend these over the other.
The shoes for these assemblies are part # BP04-126. The part includes both pads for one braking assembly. You would order two of that part number.
We can get these parts to you very quickly. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-298-8924 regarding your shipping questions. Have your part numbers handy so they can answer your questions as quickly as possible.
