Question:

Need a swivel configuration for a off road pickup truck trailer combo. Dont want to bolt to tow vehicle and dont want a lunnette ring thats going to wallow out whatever hole I provide for it. Need a ring that swivels.

It sounds like you might want to have a look at something like the Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch w/ 3-Position Channel - 2" Receivers - Vehicle Side - 11K # 336VS503505 which will slide into a 2" hitch receiver and give you a fully articulating solution that's designed for off-road trailers. You could then choose from a few options based on the style of the trailer. The part # 336TS528 is for a 2 inch straight channel, the part # 336TS504 is for an A-frame trailer, # 336TS506 is for a 2-1/2 inch straight coupler, and # 336TS508 is for a 3 inch straight channel.

The other option would be something like the Curt Lunette Ring - Stud Mount - 3" Diameter - 45,000 lbs # C48530 which can swivel, but is not fully articulating. It's a more cost effective solution but doesn't provide you with the best solution for an off road trailer like the Lock N Roll would.
