From your recent searches, it looks like you are trying determine the correct rise/drop you need to connect a ball mount to your truck's hitch to level a trailer.
To determine what rise or drop you need, the basic formula is Hitch Height - Coupler Height = Rise/Drop. In order to measure the height of your hitch, this is the measurement from the ground to the top inside tube of your receiver on level ground. The measurement of the coupler is the height from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on level ground.
For example, if the hitch height is 15 inches and the coupler height is 10 inches, you need a 5 inch drop on your ball mount. As another example, if the hitch height is 12 inches and the coupler height is 13 inches, you need a 1 inch rise on your ball mount.
I went ahead and attached a super helpful help article that outlines this formula in more detail.
It also looks like you entered a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 into our vehicle fit guide. If you need a great hitch for your truck, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C36CR (if you do not and never had a factory hitch). This hitch comes with a massive 2,550 pound tongue weight capacity and a 17,000 gross trailer weight capacity. It is also compatible with weight distribution systems.
As with all towing applications, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure you abide by all manufacturer guidelines.
