To measure for the correct high-low adapter to level your Blue Ox Tow Bar you will need to measure from the ground to the center of the trailer hitch receiver on your tow vehicle, and from the ground to the center of the base plate tabs on your towed vehicle.

If your tow bar uses a 2" shank to mount into the receiver of your tow vehicle you will need this measurement to be within 3", and if your tow bar attaches to a hitch ball on the tow vehicle you will need to get this measurement perfectly level.

For example if your tow vehicle hitch measures 22" high, but the tabs on your base plate kit are only 15" high you would want to use a high-low adapter with 6" drop like the Blue Ox Towbar Drop or Rise Receiver - 6" Drop - 6" Rise # BX88130 which would mean you are within 1" of level which is within the 3" range.

I included a video of the # BX88130, a link to a help article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.
