Replacement Monitor for Furrion Backup/Observation Camera System

Updated 03/19/2021 | Published 03/17/2021

Question:

I just bought a used 5th Wheel RV with a Furrion backup camera on the rear of the camper. Since it is used, it did not come with a monitor. There is no obvious marking on the outside of the camera to determine model number. If I remove the camera, are there markings on the inside? I would like to buy a monitor for my tow vehicle, and possibly a second camera, if possible. RV is a 2017 Coachman, therefore I am hoping the model is still current or compatible.

The easiest way to determine which camera you have is to compare it to the current model camera. If the camera you have looks like part # FCN48TASF, then you have the current version and could use one of the currently available monitors. For a 4.3 inch monitor, use # FR77FR. For a 5 inch, use # FR97FR or for a 7 inch monitor use # FR47FR. The dimensions are the diagonal measurement of the screen size of the monitor.

To add a camera, you could use the # FCN48TASF, but if you were to use the # FCE48TASL you could add a marker light/camera to bot sides of the 5th wheel. Side cameras like this can help eliminate or reduce blind spots.

I've linked to install videos for the cameras mentioned above.
