How To Choose Correct Replacement Magnetic Door Switch

Question:

concerning series 28 electric steps which stopped working. locked steps open while going in and out, then moved to different location in the driveway, steps went in but would not come back out. Did the battery test so we know steps work and have power to the inside switch. Thinking it might be the magnetic door switch but how do you check that before buying new set. Kwikee steps on 1995 motorhome. would LC369299 be the correct part or should we be looking at something else THANK YOU

In order to choose the correct replacement magnetic door switch for a set of Kwikee steps you'll need to know what controller you have as well as the shape and color of the existing door switch. I have attached a few photos which go into detail further. I have also attached some of the replacement door switches below as well like the Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor part # LC369299.

In order to test the switch you can simply bypass it by touching the wires together.
