Question:
Installed the steel deezee 45 gal fuel tank on 2008 2500 silverado. Am getting pressure build up when almost empty and release from fuel cap that came with tank. Does your locking cap release with less than 5 lbs pressure or less?

I reached out to DeeZee for you to ask them about the pressure release, and what they told me was that the Replacement Vented Cap for DeeZee Transfer Tanks - Locking # DZGASCAP3 will start to release pressure from 2 to 3-1/2 psi, a nice amount less than the 5 psi you were wondering about.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Replacement Vented Cap for DeeZee Transfer Tanks - Locking # DZGASCAP3.
