How To Add Crossbar System Compatible With Bike Racks And Kayak Carriers To Enclosed Trailer

Looking for a good solution for a crossbar system to install on enclosed. 5x8. trailer that will. accommodate bikes and kayaks. fit major brands including Kuat

To add a crossbar system to the roof of your 5' x 8' enclosed trailer that can use standard bike racks and cargo carriers I recommend adding the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System which uses Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack Tracks - Rivet Mount - 50" Long - Qty 2 # RRRTV128, Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLT600, and 59" Crossbars # RRVA150B-2.

You will need to rivet the # RRRTV128 to the roof of your cargo trailer.

This option would work great with most kayak carriers like the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style or Post Style - Folding - 1 or 2 Kayaks # Y04073, or bike racks like the Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Clamp On # Y02115.

One thing to keep in mind is to not overload the roof of your trailer. I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of your trailer to find the weight capacity of the roof, and make sure to stay under that limit.
