Question:

Hi, Im looking at your over the propane tank generator mount and am curious as to how it affects tongue weight. As my generator is 100#, is it going to add 100# to my tongue weight? Or am I confused about how the tongue weight is comprised?

Adding the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier Item # CC-255 with your generator will add tongue weight to the front of the trailer. However; if you are using weight distribution, 100lbs, may not make that big of a difference. What I suggest is install the carrier, attach the trailer and weight distribution to the vehicle, measure the distance between the top of your rear tire and bottom edge of your fender and note that measurement. Add the generator and take that measurement again. If you are within a half inch from the original measurement you are good to go. If it is more then I recommend redoing the weight distribution for that weight. You also want to make sure your weight distribution hitch is capable of the total weight.
