Hello, can you advise? I need to be ready to go in 2 weeks. I want to buy the e98872 carrier rigged with lights 47-06-404, 40-06-020, BK70BB. I need to confirm the light assembly above works and I need the complete wiring harness for the lights. Also, does the e98944 work as a license plate mount? Thank you.

The 24x62 etrailer Cargo Carrier e98872 is an excellent option for a folding cargo carrier and has a 500lb weight capacity. Bargman LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn # 47-06-404, Rubber Grommet # a70gb, and Trailer Light Mounting Bracket # BK70BB will all work well together. For the wiring you will need Replacement Pigtail - 3 Wire Sealed # 40-00-003 which will plug into the tail lights and then you will need 20 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness # A20WB to connect the tail light pigtail harnesses to the 4 way plug at the back of your vehicle.

The etrailer License Plate Mounting Brackets # e98944 will not work with this cargo carrier since the carrier's rails are not thick enough. This plate bracket is made for 3/4" square tubing. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Trailer Light Mounting Bracket for 6-1/2" Oval Trailer Lights # BK70BB is designed to be mounted on top of the support rail on a cargo carrier that has square tubing; you couldn't do that with this cargo carrier since the top rails are too thin and are not a flat mounting surface. If you wanted to, you could mount the light bracket underneath the cargo carrier.

If you wanted a cargo carrier that WOULD work with the light bracket being mounted on the top and would allow the license plate bracket to be installed I recommend going with 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs # e98874. I have attached demonstration videos for these products along with a 4 way wiring pinout diagram. If you do not have a trailer hitch receiver or a 4 way connector at the back of your vehicle then feel free to give me your vehicle's year, make, and model and I will find a setup for you.
