Will this hitch fit on my 08 Mazda MX-5 Retractable?

I checked with my contact int he engineering department at Curt Manufacturing. I was told that the # C11028 IS indeed compatible with the power retractable hard top models. However, if your MX5 Miata has the appearance package (ground effects package) the hitch will not fit.
If you will be using the hitch as an attachment point for a bike rack or cargo carrier, the warranty stipulations of the Curt C11028 hitch state that a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 must be used.
