Question:
I purchased a gooseneck with a square ram receiver. It is one that has the spinner adjustment on top. For some reason the replaced the inner tube with one that was not for this type of receiver. I did not have the ability to connect the spinner. Anyway, I ordered a entire new receiver from etrailer. My question is, can i just take the inner tube from the new one and put it in the outer tube that is already welded on the trailer? Seems like is should but thought i would ask anyway.

Hello Jerry,
Great question. It all depends on on if it is compatible. If your current set up is not a topwind coupler then it isn't going to work because the # GCSQTW-30008 does not use traditional pin-adjustment holes (please refer to picture I attached) like other gooseneck couplers. Instead, it relies on the spinner nut mechanism at the top to secure and adjust the height of the inner tube. If you find that it is not compatible please let me know so I can have someone from customer service reach out with a return label. Then you can purchase something like the Demco eZ-Latch Gooseneck Coupler # DM43KV which does have the adjustment holes.
What kind of coupler do you currently have on there?

I have one that has the spinner on top. But the inner part is not the original and is not the spinner. Hope this makes sense.
