Can The Mounting Tabs Be Cut Off Of the Ladder Rack Bracket Kit For Packem Enclosed Trailer?

Hi, I’m interested in Ladder Rack Bracket Kit for Packem Enclosed and Utility Trailer Towers - Qty 2. I don’t need the tower because I would like to bolt these two bracket directly to a 2x12. My question is will the company make them without the two tabs that stick out the back or how easy would the be to cut off? They’d be going onto the side boards of a dump body.

The Ladder Rack Bracket Kit # PK-28WL is specifically designed to be used with Utility and Enclosed Trailer Tower Kit # PK-BM or Utility Trailer Tower Kit # PK-BMH. The tabs sticking out of the bracket kit are made to attach to the tower kits, so cutting them off could compromise the structural integrity of the brackets and I do not recommend doing so. That being said, it probably would not be very difficult to cut the tabs off with an angle grinder or similar tool.
In regard to making them without the tabs; you will want to contact the manufacturer for this question. I have attached a demonstration video for you to check out.
