How To Switch Propane Supply on 1981 Tioga RV to 20 Pound Propane Cylinder

Question:

I have a 1981 Ford Tioga RV and its parked in living in it. I dont know what to use to transfer propane from a dot to my RVs tank? Im a 1st time owner and Im lost? Can u help me?

The only ways to transfer more propane to your onboard tank is to take your RV to a refill station or have a propane truck come to your location to fill it. Chances are that a truck will not come to you for such a small purchase.

Another alternative is to use an outdoor 20 pound propane tank. You will need the MB Sturgis # 103538-MBS extended stay T-fitting. Where your gas line from the RV connects to the tank you can install this T-fitting. The included hose will run from your T-fitting to a refillable/exchangeable 20 pound propane tank.
