Question:

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Code: S64671 Will this bike rack fold up when I am not using it? It would be nice not to drive around with this extension when I am parking. Please let me know. I am in the processing of purchasing a new Lexus NX 300 - am a petite female, and need to know about the most convenient bike rack for 2 bikes. Thanks

I have a solution for you, but the Swagman XTC 2 Tilt # S64671 will not fold up towards the vehicle when not in use, so it's not going to provide you with the solution you're seeking. Instead, I recommend using the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # S64683 which will fold up and add only 12" from the center of the hitch pin to the edge of the rack when in the folded position; this is compared to the 23-1/2" that the XTC would add when in its most compact storage position. The Chinook 2 also comes with a locking hitch pin to secure the rack to your vehicle and locking hooks to secure the bikes.

The Chinook 2 can be used on either 1-1/4" hitches or 2" hitches, so it will work well with the Draw-Tite # 75956 you were looking at adding to your 2021 Lexus NX 300 as well.
