Do you know if this part will work on the XTC carrier? My one bike has a 2.8 width tire and was hoping I could take off the trays on one side and replace them with this? How do you tell which side is which if compatible and I want to order?

Expert Reply:
Yes they will; since the tubes of the Chinook and XTC have the same dimensions, the wheel trays from the Chinook will fit your XTC. The two replacement trays - which will fit a 2.8" wide tire - are the following:
- Replacement Left Outer or Right Inner Wheel Tray # SP520
- Replacement Right Outer or Left Inner Wheel Tray # SP521
I have added a diagram for you which displays where the wheel trays fit relative to the bike rack.
