Question:
Hello, I need a weight distribution hitch for a 2020 Ford f150 xlt with max tow package. I will be pulling a 21 travel trailer that weighs 3400 lbs dry weight and app 5000 lbs loaded. The trailer is a rounded fiberglass unit. If you need additional info please ask. Thank you.

A 5000 lb loaded trailer would typically have a tongue weight ranging from 500-750 lbs.
Before choosing a system, it's a good idea to definitively determine the travel trailer's fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight. The weight of anything stowed in the truck bed behind the rear axle should also be included in the tongue weight figure. I'll link you to a help article that shows a few different ways of finding the tongue weight. One way is to use a tongue weight scale like the etrailer # e99044.
The Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET system you'd looked at would be an excellent choice if the tongue weight is under 600 lbs. The system includes the 2 inch trailer ball, but you'll need a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket to install it. If you don't have one or can't borrow one, we offer one as part # EQ70-00-4800.
If your tongue weight is above 600 lbs but less than 800 lbs, I'd recommend the Curt TruTrack, part # C17499. The trailer ball is available separately as part # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
I've linked to product videos for the weight distribution systems recommended above.
