I checked all hitches for a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, and each of them are designed to fit with a standard factory bumper, so there are no options for custom fit options. That means the best alternative that might work is a universal weld-on hitch, the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15903.

This requires a completely bare metal surface to weld on and is for frames up to 60.88 inches wide. I have added a link below to the installation instructions for you to check out as well.
