I need a wiring diagram for the 7 way on a 2006 gmc c5500

The standard layout for a 7-Way plug can be viewed in the included diagram. If your 2006 GMC C5500 has a factory 7-Way, this should be the same layout used for your existing plug.

If it is an aftermarket 7-Way, it is possible that the plug was wired with a different layout, depending on the installer. You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to verify that your 7-Way is laid out the same way as the picture.

Thanks for the diagram, the problem Im having is the wire colors on this truck arent the same as the diagram shows. I have two different greens no purple a red no black

You will need to use a circuit tester to identify what functions are carried on what wires on the truck. Have someone operate the lights and use the circuit tester to probe the wires. The colors indicated in those diagrams are the standard colors for trailer wiring, but vehicle wiring will not match color for color.
