Is using a Gen-Y Pin Box void the 5th Wheel frame warranty?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Boxes like part # GY58GR is not approved by Lippert no, but that doesn't mean you should not consider this for your trailer as Lippert cannot simply void your frame warranty just by installing the pin box, you are covered under the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. If there was an issue with the frame because of something that the pin box did then that would be a different story but as far as I know, the concerns with the product are not due to the design or potential for error. It installs to the factory pre-drilled holes just as the original pin box.
