Question:

I have a 2015 Forest River Shasta Phoenix 28RB. I am looking at putting a gen y GN to 5th wheel 3.5k lb hitch adapter. I am pretty sure the lippert hitch will fit. Can you please confirm. Thanks

Thanks for the picture! That is exactly what I need to confirm what pin box your Forest River Shasta Phoenix 28RB has. I just spoke with my rep at Lippert and you have a 1621 pin box with an 18,000 lbs capacity. You will want the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY58GR you were looking at.

You will also need the Safety Chain with 2 Hooks item # GY49GR. These are designed specifically to work with Gen-Y pin boxes. They are legally required and do not come with the pin box.
