Question:

I have a 2000 Jayco Qwest 8U popup camper. Interested in your axle flip kit, but unsure if this kit will work on the axle of this camper due to the axle diameter unknown. VIN#1UJAJ01E2Y15U0810 (Additional Information: From axle: Dexter P-11 Model SLR, Serial number D5397109)

A flip kit will be an excellent way to get your camper higher off the ground improving ground clearance which is especially useful when camping in some less developed areas.

To determine which flip kit you need we will have to know the axle diameter. The easiest way to do this is to measure anywhere along the axle tube you see when you look under the trailer. A Performance Tool # PTW80157 digital caliper makes simple work of this task. (It is totally useful for other jobs as well. You might even see an axle manufacturers production sticker attached to it with the measurement that you need. Measure anywhere along the few feet in the center of the axle.

If they measure 2-3/8 inches you need the kit part # K71-384-00. If you instead have 3 inch diameter axles you'd want the part # K71-385-00. If you have a different diameter axle let me know and we'll see what would be best option.

I also recommend measuring with a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to get an accurate measurement. A digital caliper is a good tool to have when measuring for replacement bearings and other parts as well.
