Hinge For The Yakima Skybox 16

Question:
I have a Yakima Skybox 16 that has the Xinch type hinges. While the both still function, they can be quite difficult sometimes. Are the replacement hinges better in your opinion and are they built to last longer than their predecessors? Thank you.

While I am not personally familiar with how well the Replacement Lid Support for Yakima Cargo Boxes Item # 8880683 is made, the reviews from other customers who are using them say they are a great replacement and are better than the original.
