Are 3,500 Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System w/ Lift Weight Capacities for One Side or Both
Question:
I am interested in the Timbren Axle less suspension system. How are the weight ratings figured on them. Ex: is a 2000lb considered 1 side or is it configured 2000 lb with 1 on each side? I am considering using them on a crank down fish house frame. Currently weights 2500 lbs house/frame/semi loaded with fishing gear. Or would i need to step up to a 3500 lb system. With lift. What do you recommend? Do you think that this application would work?

That's a good question, and the weight capacities for the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension Systems are for the set (both sides). Just think of it like a normal axle with a 2,000 lb rating being for the entire axle as opposed to just a single side. So because you mentioned your fish house frame was 2,500 lbs semi-loaded you would definitely need to go with a 3,500 lb system.
This application can work, it just installs by bolting onto your frame, though you do need to ensure there is enough support by having either a crossmember above the spot where you want to install the Timbren system, or you can use 2-inch by 3-inch steel tubing to connect the 2 Timbren suspensions together using the built-in hole on each unit.
For a 3,500 lb system with lift you will need the following:
- Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4" Lift Spindle - 3,500 lbs # ASR35HDS05
(Correct hub for this is the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-5UC3-EZ)
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out, as well as a link to the instructions I recommend taking a look at.
