Troubleshooting Maxxair Model 4700k Vent that Will Not Open All the Way

Question:
I have a Maxxair Maxxfan Model 4700k. When I turn it on, the lid will begin to open, but will not open fully. Once it gets to about 3/4 open, the motor will continue to turn, but the lid will fall slightly down and go back up. It will continue to bounce like that until it is turned off or if I put slight pressure on the lid, it will open fully. It does the same if I open it manually. It will close properly and seems to otherwise operate normally. I looked at the schematic and think it is the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents Item # MA10-20281K-1AF which needs to be replaced. Will this part fix my problem and is that the proper part number for my unit. The schematic that I can find online does not specifically my model number, but does have 4700 with other subscript letters.

You definitely have a bad operator on your MaxxFan Model 4700k roof vent which would require the replacement part # MA10-20281K-1AF.
