Class III Hitch Recommendation for 2007 Honda Element SC
Updated 12/31/2020 | Published 12/30/2020 >
Question:
I have bought 4 hitches and harnesses from you over the years. I recommend your company on our Element user groups all the time. However. We need a 2 inch receiver for out Element SC versions that doesnt require cutting the bumper facia! I am currently using your class 1 that is very nice but I would rather have a 2inch for accessories. I know a lot of other members that would like this option too. Im considering removing my class one to cut it apart and weld it back with a 2inch receiver.

Thank you for your business and recommendations over the years!
As of June of 2023, we do not offer any 2" hitch for your Element SC.
What you propose doing is theoretically possible, but keep in mind that if you fabricate a 2 inch hitch from your existing Class I like the Curt # C11699, the result will have a unknown weight capacity. At best case, due to the way it attaches to the vehicle you'll be limited to the capacity of the Class I hitch which is typically 2000 lbs towing/200 lbs tongue weight.
