Best Three Bike Rack for 2017 Mazda 3 Hatchback

Question:
Hello I am trying to decide between a trunk mounted 3 bike rack or a hitch mounted version. This is for a 2017 Mazda 3 5 door hatchback. Im wondering if one is better than the other. Generally it will be for 2 bikes with the occasional need for a 3rd. Thanks for any advice in advance

Since you need the ability to carry a third bike you'd have to go with a trunk mounted bike rack as the hitches that fit your 2017 Mazda 3 can only carry up to two bikes since they are Class I hitches.
