Question:
What is the difference between the two? I have a slider hitch Curt in my short box, but have never had to slide it back. It is too heavy to take in and out,

The difference is the application. The Curt # C16025 legs fit the factory GM pucks from model year 2061-2019. For the 2020+ model year, GM decided to change the layout of their factory pucks which required a design change for the legs. The Curt 16029 which we refer to as part # CU53FR fits the 2020 and onward GM puck system.
