Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2017 Ford F-450 with OEM Prep Package

Question:
I have a 2017 Ford F450. We are planning on a 20K LB 5th wheel. I am looking at your BNW and Reese hitches. Wondering which is the best for ride and also being heavy duty enough. I hear that the BNW has rubber to help with chucking but it is a 20 K lb hitch and I dont like being AT the max weight. The Reese M5 is a 27 K lb hitch but nothing is said about ride and chucking. Which is better for me? Or is another one better for me?. Thanks

I'll start this out by saying that there is a B&W hitch with a 25000-lbs capacity that will fit in the OEM prep package on your 2017 Ford F-450, which is the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3305, so that is definitely an option. B&W hitches have a standard 1" thick dual jaw system that makes solid contact with the king pin, and the fully articulating head and poly bushings will help smooth out the ride and reduce chucking to keep your towing experience pleasant. I really love B&W towing products because they're durable and you get the added bonus of them being made in the USA.
There are some good options from Reese like the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Towing Prep Package- Single Jaw - 27,000 lbs # RP30922 you mentioned. These hitches both have a single piece jaw that will reduce chucking, but I generally feel like they're a little less sturdy and the head and jaw on the B&W will help reduce the chucking a bit more.
For this reason I do recommend going with the B&W # BWRVK3305 for your new 5th wheel trailer; the B&W Companion series hitches are probably our best reviewed line of 5th wheel hitches, so I'm confident that you'll love it just as much as our other customers. I've linked a review video of this hitch for you to take a look at.
