Do I Have To Remove The Leaf Spring Eye Bolt To Install?
Updated 11/27/2020 | Published 11/25/2020 >
Question:
I cannot slip the piece of the active suspension over the rear spring shackle. Do I have to take the rear spring apart to get it in there? Cannot do that without an impact driver. Wish someone would have told me.

That's a good question. I have seen videos of this product installed and many times the (part C) eye bracket hook just lays onto the leaf spring eye. However, since 2008 the Tundra's have required one side of the eye hook to be removed.
I have attached the install procedure PDF file. Step 6 reads, "Remove one side and place it on top of the rear leaf spring eye bracket hook." They certainly could have provided a picture illustrating this and a better explanation. So yes, you do have to take that partially apart.
