Question:

Need to replace all three RV dump valves qty2, 1.5inch and qty1, 3. The 3inch does not fully close along with one of the 1.5inch valves. The other 1.5inch valve has the cable broken at the handle. All three are Lasalle Bristol and each with 8ft cables and are on a 2016 model trailer. I plan to unbolt the four bolts on the two square flanges and just replace the guts of the valve reuse the two square flanges on each valve. Im assuming the two square flanges on each valve just have a flat face and have the same four bolt pattern as the current Lasalle Bristol valves. My plan was to go back with Lasalle Bristol. Do you see a problem with this? Will Valterra valves fit the two existing Lasalle Bristol square flanges? I am not trying to be cheap about the $$$, but I hate to go to all the trouble to replace these valves and have the new ones not open, close and close tight.

It can certainly be frustrating when the valves don't open and close correctly.

Both Valterra and Bristol make excellent products, but even if the diameter sizes are the same, they aren't completely interchangeable. It is best to stick with the original equipment, in your case being Lasalle Bristol. You are correct that the square flanges and bolt fittings will be the same as your original valve cartridges.

For the 1.5" ones you need I recommend the # 34466N11AB96GMA and for the 3" one I recommend # 34466N4BB96GM.
