Question:

I have installed sumo bumper cushions front and rear and installed Bilstein shocks on the rear. I don’t feel that comfortable driving in the cross wind or when semi trucks pass you it pushes you away and then sucks you back in after they pass you. I’m only driving 60 to 62 it’s not very enjoyable. This is not our 1st motorhome. It has a factory sway bar. What do think.

You have a really common predicament for motorhomes in that the factory anti-sway bars are just not adequate enough for the rig, and make it a white-knuckle, uncomfortable ride in winds or when passing trucks. SumoSprings like # SSR-338-54 are handy, but the best thing you can do to improve the ride of your 2018 Forest River MBS motorhome on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis is to add a better anti-sway bar, the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1209-131.

The Roadmaster bar will work in addition to the bar already on your motorhome (instead of replacing it) and is made of thicker, stronger, and more capable steel than factory bars for the most benefit. That strength results in much higher resistance to sway than factory bars so the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1209-131 will be the perfect antidote to the handling issues you currently have.
