Recommended Hitch for 5th Wheel Trailer with I-Beam Frame with 68" From Side Beam to Side Beam

Updated 10/22/2020 | Published 10/20/2020

Question:

I need to install a hitch on the rear of my 5th wheel rv. It’s a Sydney outback 29fbh that is 68” inside width from ibeam to ibeam. What’s the best option? I want to pull a large center console boat behind it. Thanks

I recommend using the Curt # 13703, which will fit on the I-beam frame on your trailer that is 68" apart. This is an adjustable hitch that can be welded on or bolted on, so it's going to be a great solution. This hitch has a 3500-lbs towing capacity and a 350-lbs tongue weight, so it can be used for light weight towing options, but this is the highest rated hitch we have available for this application.

I've linked a short review and installation video of this hitch for you to take a look at, as well.
