Question:
All installed well, when testing on my RV , all brake and directional lights work. When I depress the brake pedal I get the flashing lights. Also the brakes on the RV are engaged. I unplug the 7 pin rn cord and the brakes free up

The flashing red and yellow lights of the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 means you have a short on the blue brake wire. Since you just installed the controller and your 7-way that means it is almost certainly on the trailer side. This is virtually always due to a damaged, frayed, or exposed wire to the trailer brakes so you will need to trace the wires to the brakes and find the one that is injured.
