Best Way To Gain Tailgate Clearance With Electric Trailer Jack

Question:
Can you remove the four sockethead screws and rotate the motor assembly 180 degrees to get more clearance to allow lowering the tailgate?

There are other ways to help gain tailgate clearance, but disassembling the electric jack # 3370093500 is not the solution. I would recommend getting the 180 Hitch 2-Ball Mount w/ Stainless Steel Balls For 2" Hitches # LTB6-2 because it has a 6" Drop, 7" Rise and is rated for 12.5K lbs. This will help you get your tailgate down on your 2016 Ram 1500 so you don't have to worry about denting it.
