Question:

Have been using my hold up 2 Purchased 9/2018 without problem until few weeks ago, The wheel tray that folds out for the front tire will not fold out. One unit at first was stiff then noted that the plastic between fold out and unit was bent and broken, now will not unfold. 2nd wheel tray just seized up, wont unfold. The arm that adjusts for the tire moves fine. Help!

My best guess is that warping could have occurred somewhere on the wheel tray and/or debris in the hinge. Especially if both front trays won't move.

Some things I'd check first to troubleshoot is to check if there's a gap between the folding front mount and the plastic in between on both sides. If there's a gap, there might be debris. If not, then the plastic itself might be stopping the rotation.

Next, I would try lubricating the folding mount. See if you can get any movement at all.

If all else fails, we have replacement wheel assemblies for the left side # Y90197 and the right side # Y90198. Since the front wheel tray has interdependent parts, Yakima designed the replacement part as an entire wheel assembly and not individual separate parts.
