The part you mentioned is a actually manufactured by Pollak, which we sell as part # HM40975. If your Colorado has the factory tow package featuring the US CAR connector under the rear of the vehicle, it would plug directly into the # HM40975.
If you don't have the factory tow package you can still install that connnector, but the US CAR connector won't be present and you'd need to hardwire it using # HM40975-11998, which provides both the pigtail and the connector. The wire colors/gauge and function for the pigtail are as follows:
Red - Left Turn and Stop - 14 gauge
White - Ground - 10 gauge
Blue - Electric Brakes - 12 gauge
Green - Right Turn and Stop - 14 gauge
Black - Battery - 12 gauge
Brown - Running Lamps - 14 gauge
Yellow - Backup Lamps - 14 gauge
As far as wire colors for the factory pigtail go, I couldn't say as we don't offer that particular part.
