I cannot pull my trailer, it feels locked. I noticed the pin and wire from the brake away system was missing. Do I Need a new system or can the pin be replaced?

The breakaway pins are not universal and are specific to a particular switch so if the pin is missing it is best to replace both the pin and switch. That said, this is very easy to do as most feature a simple two-wire installation, I recommend the Replacement Breakaway Switch with Cable and Pin part # 3802348.
