With a tow package in a 2019 Sorento do I still need a separate line for the trailer brake ?

Standard trailer wiring like what the tow package of your 2019 Kia Sorento provides does not have ability to control the brakes of a trailer so you will need to install a brake controller. We have a really easy and great solution with the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 which once plugged into a 7-way and synced to your smart phone is ready to tow.
To convert your 4-way to a 7-way you'd just need the part # ETBC7L and you'd be set.
