If your Mini Cooper Clubman has an automatic transmission, it cannot be flat towed. If it's a John Cooper Works edition, there isn't a base plate available. In either case, you would need to use a tow dolly like the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1.

If it has a manual transmission it can be flat towed with the addition of a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, a wiring solution, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter if the height difference between the receiver on the motorhome and the base plates is greater than 3 inches +/-.

For a base plate, I'd recommend the Roadmaster # 521877-1. This kit features removable drawbars for a clean look when you're not towing it. For a tow bar, an all-terrain model like the Roadmaster # RM-522 is self aligning and non binding, which makes connecting up and disconnecting to the motorhome quick and easy. Safety cables like # RM-643 would work well.

For wiring the taillights, Roadmaster Recommends the # RM-155 bulb and socket kit. For supplemental braking, use the Roadmaster InvisiBrake, part # RM-8700. You'll also need the stop lamp switch, part # RM-751440.

When installed (assuming the vehicle is at stock ride height on the stock tire size) the base plates sit about 15.5 inches above ground. If this height is more than 3 inches higher or lower than the receiver hegiht on the motorhome, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring it within a 3 inch range.
