Question:

Hi - Im considering adding this to my existing two Go Power! 95W panels and 30 Amp solar controller 2017 Pleasure-Way Plateau XL. My RV has a fiberglass roof with wooden roof ribs. The existing panels are installed in a row that I can add on to, so easy to align the mounting with the roof ribs. Will the mounting hardware provided with this kit be appropriate for screwing into the roof/roof ribs? What sealant do you recommend using with the mounting hardware to prevent roof leaks do you sell it? Finally, what is the finished install height above the roof, with the provided mounting hardware. My existing panels are about 2-7/8inch above the roof, and would like to keep a similar height if possible. Also, my existing panels are a little smaller, but about 20-3/4 x 40-3/4 but I dont anticipate that being a problem let me know if you think it is. I have the additional room.

The hardware with the Go Power Retreat Expansion Kit part # 34272634 work out great for wood as most of the RV roofs now days are wood with a rubber overlay.

When mounting the panels the Alpha Systems Q130 Butyl Tape part # AL33FJ and the Alpha Systems Self-Leveling Sealant 1021 part # AL98KV will do a great job of keeping any moisture out.

The panels will match very closely to the height of your current panels so it will remain very consistent.
