Question:
2020 Mazda Miata MX5 RF Club. Ive seen some of the comments about towing and trailer hitches. Id like to tow a motorcycle trailer. If a Goldwing can handle it with no problems, why cant a Miata? What would you suggest?

The 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata does have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11435 as a fit. It is independently rated for towing up to 2000 lbs and up to 200 lbs tongue weight. Your vehicle is not rated by the manufacturer for towing, so you'd be towing at your own risk even though it is a small trailer.
To install the hitch receiver, the fascia support brackets will be removed and replaced by manufacturer supplied brackets. No drilling required for installation , Access holes may need to be enlarged by drilling, filing, or rotary tool , Exhaust must be temporarily lowered for installation.
For trailer wiring, there is not a vehicle specific fit. My recommendation is to use the zero contact interface # 119250KIT because it doesn't require any splicing into your factory wiring and draws power directly from the battery to protect your electronics.
