What Voltage Batteries to be Used with Go Power Solar AE-6 All Electric System

Updated 08/19/2020 | Published 08/14/2020

Question:

Im gearing up learning, mostly online to install a Go power AE-6 1140 watt system on my 2015 40 ft. Cedar Creek Hathaway. Your AE-6 calls for 6 batteries. The Go Power Battery Configuration 1: says 6 x 12 V batteries. What is confusing me is All my prior solar research information has said to use 6 V batteries for example 4-6 V deep cycle AGM batteries. I have a 12 V electrical system. So, should I plan on 6 V batteries for a 12 V system or 12 V batteries for my 12 V system? Also, I see online that I can purchase a Go Power inverter 3000 watt and Go Power AGM batteries. Im planning to buy all Go Power. Is there a complete solar package panels, inverter, controllers, batteries, etc. available?

There are some solar panel setups that use 6 volt batteries but the Go Power Solar AE-6 All Electric System with 3 MPPT Solar Controllers # 342-75011 was designed for use with 12 volt or 24 volt battery setups. So a deep cycle battery like you mentioned would work great but it would not have to be 6 volt.

This kit comes with everything you'd need but the batteries. We don't offer the types of batteries you'd want with this so that would be on piece of puzzle we couldn't help provide.
