Question:
What transmission cooler would your recommend for a 2016 Chevy Colorado, Z71 4x4 with a 2.8 Diesel, towing package. Where I live we see temp of over 100* quite often, so I think I would like the best cooler that you would recommend.

The best transmission cooler for your 2016 Chevy Colorado with a 2.8L diesel engine is the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13503.
This is the best transmission cooler because of how efficient it is; this is a plate-and-fin cooler, which means it uses smaller plates that cover more area than other coolers in order to agitate transmission fluid. Because you cannot over-cool fluids, the rule of thumb with transmission coolers is that size matters so the large 11" wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep Series 8000 is going to give you great cooling efficiency.
You do need to ensure that you have enough room for this cooler to fit; if you take a look at the linked installation manual you can see that there are a number of mounting locations possible so you simply want to verify this cooler can fit in one of those spaces on your Colorado.
I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13503.
