Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar

Question:

I am interested in utilizing the RM676 tow bar as it comes complete with the safety chains and electrical cords. My question is what else is needed to flat tow my Wrangler behind my Class C motor home. I am looking for plug and play where possible. Thanks,

The Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar part # RM-676 is a really great option to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. If the D-rings of your bumper are 1 inch you'd want the base plate kit adapter part # RM-035-1 or if they were 3/4 inch you'd want # RM-035.

For a kit that includes locks for the tow bar, a diode lighting kit, and a storage bag for the Nighthawk you'd then want the part # RM-9284-2.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
