2008 Toyota Tundra TRD 4x4 Dbl Cab Suspension Enhancement for Carry Camper in Bed

Updated 07/25/2020 | Published 07/24/2020

Question:

Good day, I need to setup my truck for SixPack Camper D650 ~1600lbs dry. I was hoping to get your expert advice. I will be driving the truck w/o camper for 80 of the time and dont want it to ride like a semi: I was thinking of getting Firestone airbags, Swaybar, Torklift FandR Tie downs and Turnbuckle and possibly new shocks. A little concerned with the camper/truck weight set up. What do you recommend? Many thanks!

Expert Reply:

For your 2008 Toyota Tundra that you will be carrying a camper in the bed of the best suspension enhancement by far is the RoadActive System part # RAS34FR. This kit allows you to have adjustable suspension support that offers the best stability from side to side for campers and unlike other options it doesn't hurt the ride quality. Many report the ride quality actually improves.
