How to Install the Yates Keel Pads on Your Trailer

do the scallops go up or down?

Expert Reply:
The scallops on the Yates Keel Pad # YR1203SB go down on the frame of the trailer so the boat sits on a smooth surface. I've attached a photo that shows these installed on a small trailer, but you will need frame stanchions no wider than 3" wide for these to fit.
You will want to source some self tapping screws at your local hardware store for installation.
