Can Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch for RVs # 13703 install on the Outside of an I-Beam Frame

Question:
can the mounting brackets be reversed so that I can bolt the receiver to the outside of my I beam frame members??

I spoke with my contact at Curt about hitch # 13703 and he said that you can install the side brackets on the outside of an I-beam frame by turning them around. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. The hitch can be bolted or welded on. If you choose to weld it on the welding should be done by a qualified professional.
